Papers of J.T. Trowbridge [manuscript], 1882-1916.

In a letter, 1882 October 16, Trowbridge, Arlington, Massachusetts, writes to [Thomas Bailey] Aldrich asking if the "Atlantic" would care to purchase either of two poems, one entitled "My career"; and mentioning corrections he has indicated in the indentation of the first three stanzas. In a letter, 1905 August 4, Trowbridge, Arlington, Massachusetts, writes to Cuyler Reynolds, Albany, New York, that he has settled on September 18 as his birthdate and Ogden as his hometown for reasons stated in "My own story". Also included in the collection are a manuscript of Trowbridge's poem, "Circumstance" and a newspaper clipping of Trowbridge's obituary.
